Partnership In Action Barnsley

 The Government funded (Invest to Save) ‘Partnership In Action Barnsley’ project. This project was one of the first to deliver real-time database searching, secure information sharing and mobile working in a joint Health and Local Authority service partnership. The project delivered a portal framework for a multi-disciplinary ‘intermediate care’ team and real-time linking (using NHS Patient record number as the shared key) of case record information from multiple shared heath and local authority case history databases. The ShareCare Information Gateway is also being used to deliver real-time joining of data for Children’s Services. Again the Capita EMS system is one of the databases that has been integrated as part of this service.
